Training data upload:Uploading your training data to 2PEAK will allow you to log your training faster, but also for us to analyze your training more objectively.
2PEAK makes the most out of your training instrument! While other training service providers end at analyzing your data from past workouts, 2PEAK adds its expertise via a constant comparison of your actual versus planned workouts. We then extract your specific and relevant parameters to adjust your future workouts and recalculate your training plan whenever needed, which ensures that you will reach your peak most efficiently.
2PEAK is currently compatible with the following instruments:
- Polar HR monitors (file format: *.hrm)
- Ciclosport HAC4 and HAC5 (file format: *.tur)
- Suunto T6 (file format: *.sdf)
- SRM Powermeter (file format: *.srm)
- PowerTap (file format: *.csv)
- Ergomo (file format: *.csv)
- Garmin Forerunner 50-405 and Edge 205-705 models, GPS-Data (file format: *.xml and *.csv)
- Nike + iPod sport kit
+ Very simple upload: The file format is recognized automatically if the files correspond to the approved formats.
Please note that the software that comes with your instrument often offers alternative formats and/or exports which can`t be recognized by the 2PEAK upload. We need the raw data files (see formats above) which are saved by the manufacturers softzware on your hard disc in any case. If in doubt on how to locate them, make a search (under Windows using Explorer while using Spotlight under Mac) of the formats defined above. Just enter the abbreviation as listed above into the search field.
A special comfortable solution is of course our "Butler" which allows you to download the data directly from a growing variety of sports instruments and upload the data in one step for an automatic analysis and log of your workout. You`ll find more details about the Butler >> here:
The advantages of the data uploads:+ Faster logging
2PEAK imports the start time of the activity, the duration, distance, ascension and all other available objectively measured parameters such as heart rate, power or speed and distance. Therefore, you will not have to enter all this data manually. With intelligent algorithms, 2PEAK corrects potential data scrambles such as heart rate, or altitude in GPS data, thus giving you a clearer picture of your training.
+ Objective analysis of your training intensity
Depending on the instrument you upload, 2PEAK is able to analyze your workout based not only on heart rate, but also on power or speed zones. We auto detect how much time you spent in each training zone. Our goal is a precise and objective definition of your training intensity in order to make a precise calculation regarding your next workout(s). Ideally this analysis is power based, which means being able to collect power data from cyclists and speed data from runners. Of course, the more traditional heart rate data will be analyzed as well.
Supported power measuring devices for cyclists.SRM cranks, Ergomo cranks, Power Tap hub and Polar watches with the optional Power Output Sensor. You will find more information regarding power measurement HERE .Supported Speed & Distance instrumenst for runners.Garmin Forerunner devices (GPS-Data), Polar or Suunto HR monitors with foot pod (accelerometer as an additional sensor for the shoe), or the small add on for your iPod nano called Nike + iPod
Mac friendly2PEAK works hard to include the mac community. As of today 2PEAK is optiumized for Safari and we are working on ways to allow the direct import of Polar and later other instruments, for a smooth upload. If you become aware of hacks or utilities that are compatible, please let us know.
